6 Years of Partnership!

A NOTE FROM PEACE

I have been thinking of what God has done at Homecare from the last six years, it was in 2013 we were having many ladies coming to apply to get into the sewing program, we accepted a few of them and kept many on the waiting list.

At that time we were limited by the space and needed some members of the staff to help us serve in the ministry, then Hope4Burundi came to join us and walk along with usGod opened a big door for us through Hope4Burundi, we were able to have more students sending their children to school, providing for their meal and school fees, uniforms, providing for medical care, to the ladies and their children.

We kept receiving the ladies even more into the sewing program and we started helping women to get into small businesses who were selling vegetables, fruits, and some other items. This program lasted for a few years, but it was successful until they were told to stop selling such items on the street.

With H4B, we have served many families with water filterswe distributed bibles in the schools and in the villages where God has opened a door for us to preach the gospel

I am very humbled to tell Hope4Burundi that if God had not sent you to walk along with us we could not have been able to help widows in Villages who did not have hope for the future of their children or have food to give them.

You stood with us and gave us the opportunity to bless them with seeds and sheep. Now we have 79 families who harvest beans and potatoes every year since, in addition to that these families who received sheep receive fertilization from the sheep we gave them.

Our God is faithful; we have been able to assist more widows and orphans 2 years ago we were able to open the second Homecare in the Countryside, 20 ladies have graduated now working in a coop at the marketplace.

Two of our graduates in Matana were married last month, both of them said because they went through a sewing program and received sewing machines, men noticed them and now they are married and with the sewing machine, they are providing for their homes!

I will not close without mention, how I am SO thankful to God for all of you who have come to visit us in Burundi, it is one thing to say what God has done at Homecare, but it is even better when you come and see, this reminds me when Jesus met the Samaritan woman after she discovered that Jesus was the Messiah, she went back to tell to her people that Messiah was there…

My desire has always been to invite people to come and see what Jesus the Messiah has done in Burundi, at Homecare: The gospel is preached every day, women who were hungry, without hope, today they have food, clothing, Bibles, they drink clean water, their children are in school, they are getting medical care when they are sick; they receive counseling, and have a family! High school students have Bibles and get help from the local Christians and our staff helps young girls in with counseling.

Homecare today is celebrating with you the great work you have started with us by God’s grace. I thank God for you! I recognize that you have been giving sacrificially; you are supporting us with prayer and continue to visit us. We don’t take this for granted!

Paul wrote to the Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord (always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord), knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile (it is never wasted or to no purpose).

Soon we will have 66 other ladies who will be graduating!

I am convinced that God who has started Hope4Burundi will continue to bless his work through you.

Thank you John and Diane for your commitment to this ministry, thank you all who are supporting this organization! God bless you abundantly! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Peace N.
